Having the instructions for your injection kit helps you, or anyone coming to your aid, to inject you.

We have a selection of guides your can download, print at home, fold and add to your kit.

Be careful to choose instructions that match the type of medication that you have available, and to match your needle and syringe types

Needle & Syringe Injection Leaflets

BD Eclipse Needle (with Safeslip Technology) and BD Emerald 2ml Luer Syringe (2 separate items)

Most people are given needles and syringes by their Endocrinology team or GP for their emergency injection kit. If you are unsure, visit our emergency injection kit page to learn more.

If you do not have access to a printer to download and print the leaflets above yourself, printed copies of the leaflets are also available from our online shop.

Order from our online shop - Emergency Injection Instructions

The leaflets linked above match the BD Eclipse Needle and BD Emerald 2ml Syringe that are for sale in our emergency injection kits. They are also available to purchase in our online shop as a stand-alone item.

VanishPoint (retractable syringe) Injection Leaflets

VANISHPOINT 3ml retractable syringe / needle combo

The VanishPoint leaflets linked below used to be included in the injection kits available on our online shop prior to Feb 2025, when VanishPoint retractable needle/syringes were available. Unfortunately, they are no longer available, which is why we no longer stock them in our shop.

The leaflets are therefore no longer available to purchase, but can still be printed off at home using the links below.

Training Videos

Training videos demonstrated by an endocrine specialist nurse are also available to watch on the ADSHG YouTube channel.

These videos are to help you and the people you spend a lot of time with, such as family, colleagues or friends, learn what to do if you have an adrenal crisis and how to give an emergency injection of hydrocortisone.
