The Future of Emergency Injections - and why there isn't a more sophisticated system

One of the most frequently asked questions we get from our members and the wider adrenal insufficiency community, is;

"Why isn't there something like an 'epi-pen' for us to use to give ourselves a quick and easy emergency injection'?

It is a very good and valid question, and we share the various considerations, as well as our thoughts on the answer, in our article below.

The Future of Emergency Injections

Let us support your Patient Injection Training

Get involved in our new campaign and events programme to improve patient safety and increase the number of people who feel confident administering an emergency injection of hydrocortisone.

Take part in an Injection Training Event (approx 2-3hrs) for up to 50 patients in your area.  Everyone will leave with a FREE ADSHG Injection Training 'at home' Practice Kit worth £14.75

We can support with organising, marketing and funding, but we need your:

  • expertise to deliver the injection training
  • venue support where possible
For more information, go to our 'Injection Training Event' webpage or click on the link below to contact us about next steps.
