It’s not just inconvenient - it can feel risky and exhausting. The 3-Month Prescription Request Letter template is for you to complete and share with your GP practice. This letter explains why you should be prescribed a 3-month supply of your essential steroid medication, covering Sick Day dosing, spare for travel, GP record prompts and more. Adrenal Insufficiency Action Plan This on-the-go awareness item displays your key health information in one handy document, as well as clear explanations about what you need to do to optimally manage your condition, using a traffic light system. The system includes:✅ Green - explains your daily medication and its time-critical nature⚠️ Amber - explains your Sick Day Rules and recommended doses in a 24-hour period🚨 Red - signs and symptoms of adrenal crisis, as well as emergency actions, treatment and monitoring These publications were made in conjunction with The Pituitary Foundation, and are endorsed by The Society of Endocrinology for you to use to raise this issue with your GP and pharmacist. Turning Your Voices into Action: Raising Awareness: We presented your survey responses (jointly with results from The Pituitary Foundation) at the British Endocrine Society Conference in March 2026, reaching up to 1,500 healthcare professionals. Our poster (see below) was even awarded 'Highly Commended' status, in recognition of the significance of the findings and the next steps we suggested. Policy Engagement: We are working with the UK Clinical Director for Prescribing to align GP and pharmacy practices with a proposed UK-wide shift to 84-day prescriptions.
