Individuals have shared their disappointment, anxiety and anger that this has happened, and how it might impact their safety in an adrenal crisis. At the ADSHG, we are working hard behind the scenes, both independently and with other Patient Support Groups, to share the impact of this decision with people and organisations of influence, in an effort to drive change and improvement. But, we need your help and your voice... Share your experiences and your concerns Use our letter templates below to write to or email your Member of Parliament (England), Member of Senedd (Wales), Member of Scottish Parliament (Scotland), or Member of Legislative Assembly (Northern Ireland). Let them know how the discontinuation of the manufacture of hydrocortisone sodium phosphate (liquid hydrocortisone - known as "pre-mixed" injection to many) has impacted you! How can this help? Letting your local MP know how you personally are affected by this decision allows them to see the true impact of the discontinuation. Seek a UK license for Pfizer's ACT-O-VIAL product Urge the Department of Health & Social Care to work with Pfizer to bring ACT-O-VIAL (dual compartment vial hydrocortisone product) to the UK. Support the development of a pre-filled syringe or auto-injector Urge the DHSC, OLS and MHRA to explore how best to support bringing a pre-filled syringe or auto-injector to the UK market for adrenal crisis prevention & treatment.
