Hosted by the European Society of Endocrinology (ESE), the webinar:  ‘Adrenal Insufficiency: daily living and adrenal crisis prevention’, attracted an international audience of 600 participants from 50 countries. Attendees heard from clinical and patient experts from Norway, Spain, the UK, Denmark, Italy and Germany, discussing the various aspects of living with adrenal insufficiency and preventing and managing adrenal crisis.

From the ADSHG, Dr Alessandro Prete and Philippa Sharman were part of the programme committee organising the event, as well as presenting on the day; providing a clinical perspective and patient experience.

Your questions answered

Attendees submitted 55 questions prior to the event and an additional 400 during, highlighting the strong demand from our community for reliable, trusted information.

As well as each session having its own question and answer (Q&A) session, a general Q&A also took place covering topics such as antibodies, menopause, the menstrual cycle, remaining symptoms when on replacement therapy, and new treatments including Efmody® and infusion pumps. All Q&A sessions were recorded, so if there's a question you've always wanted to ask, it's likely that it was addressed during the event! Be sure to watch the videos today.

By connecting people with adrenal insufficiency with medical professionals, we continue our aim of building a collaborative environment that ultimately aims to improve the quality of life for those affected by the condition.
